Kilmarnock Football Club – Killie Club

Established over one hundred and fifty years ago, Kilmarnock Football Club is one of Ayrshire’s most valued assets. Over the years, support for the club has grown considerably with more and more supporters flocking to the iconic Rugby Park for weekend matches. The club identified a requirement to increase the capacity at the sports bar located within the main stand giving it a more modern and exciting look to match the recently upgraded 1869 suite.

The newly upgraded bar has been rebranded as The Killie Club, paying tribute to the clubs vibrant history and its fans. The larger facility provides a space for the increasing volumes of fans for before and after matches. More male and female toilets were also installed to accommodate the increased volume of supporters.

EMC Projects worked closely with Thomson Hunter Architects with the installation of bespoke lighting in the bar, ensuring an on brand but premium feel. In addition to this, we installed all small power and data services ensuring fans can stay up-to-date on all pre and post-match news and updates. EMC Projects, working collaboratively with principle contractor Worksmart Contracts, completed the work within a strict ten week timeframe in preparation for the new 2019/2020 season.

This is one of many successful projects delivered on behalf of Kilmarnock FC, assisting them to enhance their various facilities for fans and players. To find out more about our various other projects with the club and many more, please visit our case study section on our website.
