Kilmarnock Football Club – 1869 Lounge & Champions Lounge

The project at Kilmarnock Football Club’s stadium consisted of a full strip-out of two of the Club’s Suites. The suites are situated in the main stand of the stadium, and one was to be renovated as a brand-new function suite – The 1869 Suite – to facilitate corporate hospitality on match days. Additionally, the Champions Lounge was also to be fully refurbished modernising it throughout making it suitable for a variety of functions and events.  As part of the renovation brief, it was clear that Kilmarnock F.C were eager to use the new suites for more than just hosting corporate guests on match days. The new state-of-the-art function suites are also open to the public and can be used for family occasions, entertainment and special events for the local community.

EMC Projects, working in collaboration with the principle contractor, Worksmart Contracts, fitted all small power for the various audio-visual and communication systems as well as an array of modern and sleek lighting giving it a modern feel. This involved some collaborative work with Thomson Hunter Architects brining their unique and contemporary lighting designs to life. The job also involved the addition of a modern catering kitchen fitted to cater to the needs of players, staff and guests. The nutrition of the players is paramount to ensuring success on the pitch, and the new catering facilities will help to promote that. All small power was provided by our team for this new state of the art facility.

EMC Projects worked efficiently to finish within the strict deadlines allocated and despite the pressure manage to complete the works on time and within budget. The new and improved facility was unveiled in time for the start of the 2019/2020 season beginning and has since become one of the clubs most cherished assets. This project was delivered as part of a series of refurbishment works at Kilmarnock Football Club, each of which was highly praised by fans and staff alike. Alongside Worksmart Contracts and Thomson Hunter Architects, EMC Projects were able to assist the club in modernising and enhancing the facilities at the club for the players and fans.
